Welcome EPIC Intern Kristen Chu

EPIC Staff

Meet Kristen Chu, EPIC's newest intern. Welcome to the team, Kristen!

Kristen is a senior at Cal Poly Humboldt studying Environmental Science and Management with a concentration in Ecological Restoration. She grew up in Southern California exploring the natural world with her family. Kristen moved to Humboldt six years ago and immediately fell in love with the surrounding forests, the diverse flora and fauna, the wetlands, and the vast river systems. She plans to work locally after graduation, restoring natural environmental functions while advocating for proper environmental protections. She is passionate about environmental justice and hopes to gain experience at EPIC making a positive impact on both the environment and the community.

In her free time she loves to put on some music and dance, spend time with her husband and cats, and cook. She also enjoys exercising and doing absolutely anything crafty.
