Recap of EPIC's 2022 Fall Celebration & Sempervirens Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony

Updated: Dec 16, 2022

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday, October 8th for EPIC’s 45th Annual Fall Celebration at Southern Humboldt Community Park on unceded Sinkyone land. A special thanks to all of our hardworking volunteers, to folks who traveled multiple hours to attend, to the Yarduties band for the feel-good music, to Local Flavors and Cypress Grove for the delicious food, and to Lost Coast Brewery, Frey Vineyards, Violet-Green Winery and Redway Liquor & Deli for stocking the bar with drinks and ice.

The highlight of this year's Fall Celebration was the ceremony honoring Priscilla Hunter and Polly Girvin with the 2022 Sempervirens Award for lifetimes of achievement in environmental and Indigenous activism; thanks to WoodLab Designs for crafting the physical award. Priscilla and Polly, thank you for your relentless commitment to environmental and Indigenous justice, as well as for sharing such inspiring words at Fall Celebration.
