Forest Activist Rob DiPerna Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

EPIC Staff

At this year’s Fall Celebration, EPIC will be honoring forest activist Rob DiPerna with the Sempervirens Lifetime Achievement Award. Rob joins local environmental icons such as Judi Bari, Sharron Duggan and Greg King who have previously won the award. Rob was instrumental to EPIC’s forest program, having reviewed and commented on hundreds of timber harvest plans in his two stints at EPIC

“Rob knows the Forest Practice Act and Rules better than any forester and brought this encyclopedic knowledge to the struggle to protect the North Coast’s iconic redwood forests,” said Tom Wheeler, Executive Director and Staff Attorney at EPIC. “While Rob was a great advocate, he was an even better coworker and friend. I am fortunate that we were able to work together for so many years.” Read more about Rob here.

The Fall Celebration will feature delicious dollar tacos from Esmeralda’s 2.0 and music from Aloha 808. Doors open at 6pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm, the award ceremony at 7pm, and dancing to follow. This event is expected to sell out, so get your tickets early!
