Public Land Trespass Grows
Environmentally damaging and destructive industrial-size marijuana grows are taking place on the National Forests and on private timberland. Some of the most destructive operations are in the most remote and ecologically sensitive areas. These operations have been associated with wholesale wildlife poisoning, use and dumping of fertilizers and pesticides, illegal water diversions and water pollution, logging and land disturbance, and severe problems with garbage and human waste. Below are some of the correspondence letters between EPIC and U.S. Forest Service about analyzing cannabis impacts on federal lands.
